Mrs Bc Akin-Alabi, is the Chief Consultant of SchoolRun and the publisher of SchoolRun Magazine, (the first indigenous educational quarterly)’. She has more than fifteen years post qualification experience in early years learning, children’s services, childcare and education in the United Kingdom . She was recognised by the British Prime Minister in March 2001 and was invited to 10, Downing street to dine with Mr Blair and his wife, Mrs Cherie Blair in recognition of Excellence in Childcare. While in the U.K, in addition to teaching in the mainstream schools, Bc managed and ran five childcare centres (all which were founded by her), she was also a committee member of the Harrow Local Education Authority’s Early Years Partnership and a volunteer in the children’s department of her church, Praise Chapel, in Kilburn North, West London. In 2001, Bc became a facilitator for the Windsor Fellowship (in their programme for Gifted Black children), a United Kingdom organisation that tackles underachievement in Black youths.
